Just ordered a new DP G4. I'm retiring one of my 9600's. I may want to use my Jag system from the 9600 by installing the drive in the new machine rather than using the installed X on the new machine. Is this possible? Are there XPF extensions I need to remove and if so where are they located. I'm using Sonnet's cach extension which I will remove of course. Is BootX a problem? Appreciate any response from anyone who has done this or has knowledge of the files XPF installs to make X run on Old World machines. Thank's, Mike |

It should work fine without modification. Don't try to extract XPF, unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing. You could break it entirely. XPF will not interfere with the function on OSX on your new box. Marty PS for the G5 all bets are off. |
