* PowerMac 9500/150 * Sonnet G3 375MHz * 320Mb RAM * ACard 6280M ATA card * 40Gb HD (3 partitions, 7Gb, 30Gb, 30Gb) * Keyspan SX Pro 4 port serial PCI card * RealTek 10/100 NIC * USB Card I'm not sure if these issues relate to XPostFacto but I thought I might check... OK, got X installed on the FIRST partition and have taken it up to 10.2.8. It does seem to stop during bootup (as mentioned in my previous post) a bit. Strangely enabling verbose mode seems to reduce this. Failing that a warm restart works. I've installed the KeySpan drivers but when I use the Serial Assistant app I get a "hardware not found" error. If I boot in 9 the KeySpan card works fine. If I pull the card (or try a different slot) X hangs at "devfs on /dev" I also installed the RealTek drivers for X but don't get it in the "Network Port Configurations" drop down. If anyone has some ideas I'd love to hear them - I'm so near to having my new home automation system up and running! Cheers, Antony. |
