I was wondering if someone could help me out. I'm having problems using XPostFacto & installing OS 10.1.4. I did read though the FAQs, and didn't see anything that mentioned my problem. Here goes... I have a PM 7500 with a Sonnet G3 450 MHz card. I'm running OS 9.1, and am trying ot install OS 10.1.4 using XPostFacto 2.2.5. I start the procedure under OS 9.1, and tell it where the CD and the destination disk is, then tell it to go. The system reboots and eventually brings up the Mac OS X installation application. I answer a few questions, and after the thermometer goes about 1/6th the way over while downloading onto the HD, the screen goes completely blue, and then it's frozen. (And I though the blue screen of death was only a Windows feature!) This happens after several minutes of downloading from the CD. I've reproduced this three times. The last time I un-interleaved the memory before, and it made absolutely no difference. The destination disk is a separate 4GB disk, external SCSI, newly reformatted using the OS 9 formatter. The 7500 has 336 MB RAM. I was wonderig if anyone has seen this, and has any suggestions. Thanks in advance. Regards, John |
