Thanks to threads on this forum from Lars, et al, I've set XPostFacto input to kbd and output to ATY,RV100ad_A, and jump for joy to see ugly gray apple and spinning "thing" instead of black screen as previously in bootup. However, just before the ugly apple appears, I get "No bootable HFS partition" at the top of my screen. Sometimes it says "No input device," and I think I may have also gotten "No output device," along with an occasional scsi error message - it's always something different. It only lasts a second, then boots up normally, but anyone know what this is? When I tried to enter the suggested prompts in Terminal (sudo nvram output-device pci1, etc., I get a "getting variable" error, tho the card is in the first slot. I'm not sure what I'm complaining about, as everything works beautifully once I'm up and running, but since there were so many suggestions and corrections made to the suggested terminal prompts on this forum between Sep 15 and 25, could someone repost the final, ultimate and correct prompts - or am I just being really anal here? Also, anyone know if there's any benefit or liability to having both the Sonnet cache and Ryan's L2cache config installed? |
