Booting from optical connected to SIIG ATA card? |

I'd like to be able to boot from an IDE CDR/RW drive connected to a SIIG ATA/133 card rather than the plain ol' 12x SCSI CD-ROM that is in my 9500 right now. Has anyone been able to do this? Would I have to look for something close to an Apple OE drive to do it? I tried a generic Sanyo drive and it didn't work, but if I could get a Lite On mechanism (which Apple uses) would that be a better buy? |

I'm able to boot from a Toshiba SD-R1202 DVD/CD-RW if it is selected as the startup drive. The 10.2.2 update added native support for this drive so that is a bonus. |
