Having established a stable OS X system on my PowerWave, I decided to reformat and create partitians my OS 9.1 disk, and reinstall. Now I have a machine that will run only OS X....have reformatted with both Apple and HDST but can't get past the first smiley face on OS 9.1 startup. Can restart only into OS X by booting from my Disk Warrier CD and then running XPFT. (OS X is on a separate drive.) Any ideas out there? |

Did you format or partition your OS 9 drive using OS X Disk Utility? If so, there are some checkboxes called "Install OS9 Drivers" in the Erase and Partition screens which you need to select . If that fails, try booting from the OS9 Install CD and reinitializing your target OS 9 drive/partition from there. |
