Power Macintosh 8500 XLR8 Carrier Zif 350MHz Apple Zif (clocked to 366MHz) 1MB Cache 50MHz Bus 352MB Memory 4GB IBM (DCAS-34330) Running Mac OS X 10.2.6 (60 pin adapted to 50 pin) 2GB Seagate (ST32430N) Running Mac OS 9.1 (this is the drive that came with the computer but can't say if it was the original as it was a second hand machine. This is at the end of the chain so is terminated) 9GB IBM (DGHS09Y) (80 pin adapted to 50 pin) All the hard drives are on the internal bus. HP DVD ROM (OEM version of Pioneer DVD-304) internal scsi bus HP CD-Writer 9200+ external scsi bus (keeping a CD-ROM in the tray at all times ensures this drive is recognised at startup otherwise it may not appear) PCI: Top (A1): Generic two port firewire card Middle(B1): Generic two port USB card Bottom(C1): You guessed it........ATI Radeon Mac Edition This machine has been the beez neez giving me no trouble whatsoever during its many hacks and attacks in my service. I use this machine every day and as long as I don't ask it to do too many things at once it serves me well. Amazed at how much better DVD playback is in OS X on this computer. Great post. Have been wanting to reply to some posts with answers but most of you gurus out there seem to beat me to it. Hope this helps. Cheers to Ryan. don't listen to the whingers! |

does ur ATI Radeon fully support 3D gaming and 3D graphic under 10.X? I am having problems since I put in Sonnet G4 800 card. I will try ur arrangement and see isf that works. I got a Generic USB 2.0 (NEC chip) card and it didn't work under 9.X but worked fine under 10.X. I am getting a Macally FW/USB 2.0 combo card. |
