I have a PowerTowerPro with an XLR8 G4 450Mhz card. Cache is set at 225Mhz via PowerLogic's Cache Control software. I also have a MacAlly USB/FireWire card and a Rage Orion video card installed. Classic quits upon launch, just as the window for Classic Startup is put up, but before anything is drawn in it. I've tried copying an OS 9 folder from another partition to no avail. It will not launch no matter what OS 9 folder I choose. |

I have a Apple 9500, using a Newer Technology 450 G4 upgrade card (set at 2:1 ratio). My L2 cache is enabled via your utility. Installed in my 9500 are a Targa video card, ATTO UL2 raid PCI card, Audiomedia card, and Orange Micro USB/Firewire card. While Classic ran extremely well in the previous versions of OS X, it fails to open in 10.2, quitting (without error message) just after it begins to load. Neither a clean install of 10.2 nor 9.1 have helped in any way to change this situation. Still, 10.2 is very speedy for me (for example, on my machine, Office X beats Office 2001 hands down). I can burn CDs via Firewire and basically have no other problems outside of this Classic difficulty. However, in order to see my raid array (which only mounts in 9.1 right now) I will have to upgrade my ATTO card (cost: about $400-500). But I don't want to add anything to my current setup until I find out when (of even if) I will be able to use Classic again. BTW, thanks for everything you are doing to solve this problem. (And thanks for creating XPostFacto in the first place!) |

And I have a 9600, with a G4 card, an ixMicro ix3D video card, and Classic doesn't work. I forgot to mention that the other thing which might conceivably matter is the presence of a USB card. In my case, both computers have one. |

I'll start things off. As the subject implies, I have a 7300 with a G4 card, onboard video, and classic doesn't work. |
