He must have misunderstood your question because my scanner works just by plugging it into the SCSI port on the back of my Power Tower Pro. |

gchron, Is there a way I could get a copy of version 7.5.54 from you (or elsewhere)? I emailed Ed Hamrick and he told me two things: He didn't think that VueScan would work with the built-in scsi and he doesn't keep copies of older releases. It seems that our systems are nearly the same, except the version of VueScan and model scanner. Alternatively, if you have the time to try the new VueScan bits sometime, that might be telling. thanks |

I use a Linotype Hell Jade (like umax Office) with Vuescan on my powerwave G4/450. You have to boot with the scanner on and attached. Also, It has to be properly terminated. Play with the termination a bit.... |

I will be interested in our results. I used the latest vuescan, 7.5.62, for my test. |

I haven't scanned anything since upgrading to 10.2.2, but Vuescan has worked perfectly with my Power Tower Pro and Umax S-6E connected to the built-in SCSI. I need to download the latest version to test now. I also have to startup with the scanner turned on for it to be visible. |

As a followup, I have a powerWave (like 9500) with the scanner on the external bus, running os 10.2.2. Is your config similar? Thanks! |

I use the vuescan with a UMAX SCSI scanner with no problem. The only problem is that I have to restart with the scanner turned on. But when I see the scanner in Apple system profiler there is no any problem I can scan with no any problem. |
