My 8500 stalls on start up witha broken folder icon, but boots tight into it when I then restart while holding down the control- command -start up keys, and runs great after that. |

This is something that gets reported now and then--the cause is somewhat mysterious. It was happening on one of my systems, and was fixed when I switched from an ixMicro video card to a Radeon. But it doesn't always affect systems with ixMicro video cards. So it seems to be some combination of hardware that does it. It is possible that moving PCI cards around might help. Otherwise, the workaround isn't too painful. |

Is "it" OS 10? If it is i have no idea why. Does it happen everytime you reboot or just that once? If it is 9 there could i work around i will tell you but it takes me to long to type right now so if "it" is 9 then i will tell you how. Also turn on verbose mode in the advanced menu. |
