Just wondering if anyone has any pointers here.. Running Jaguar 10.2.3 on a Powerbase 200- 400mhz G3 OC'd to 450mhz, 45mhz BUS.. Stable. My CDRom Drive (SCSI) is a Nec CDR-1460a 8x Multispin. Here is what I get from the Verbose Bootup: Mesh 0 0 RunDBDMA Arbitrate/Reselect Problem. After this, my SCSI CDRom "Activity" light comes on for a second, and goes out. Shortly after a few more messages whip by, the same thing happens again (same error). But after the second time, the SCSI CDrom Drive clicks as usual, and then the "activity" light begins to blink in the usual patturn of once every second (I know that if the light is blinking every so often, the SCSI is working, otherwise...). I can then use and mount my disks and use my SCSI Peripherals. BUT.. If I reboot- like- AppleMenu->Reboot, the system reboots, I get the same basic errors, and the SCSI CDRom does the same thing (it lights up when the errors arrive, and then the act light goes out), but the light doesn't flicker in its usual patturn.. Nothing.. Zippo. No mount of disks, no external SCSI. My External USB CDRW drive still mounts. Soo.. Any ideas whats up here? If I POWER DOWN the machine, completly, and power up, then everything works just fine again. I seriously need to get this fixed soon. It is getting rather annoying. Any ideas? |

Also, you can double-check your SCSI termination to make sure that it is correct. Finally, some users have found that replacing the SCSI cable helps. |

Change your SCSI cable so that it uses the external bus. |
