Radeon PCI stopped working with OpenGL. As of today, my Original Radeon PCI isn't recognized by OSX 10.2.3 Ideas? Suggestions? I wonder if this has anything to do with the retail ATI software? |

To install apples extensions, 1) Download Pacifist (< http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id= 12743&db=mac>) 2) Download 10.2.3 combo pkg ( ) 3) Open the ATI install log file in Text Edit or something 4) Run Pacifist and use it to open up the combo pkg 5) Select the ATI extensions that are listed in the ATI installer log file 6) Click install, then reboot, and test One good test is the Flurry screen saver in full screen mode. If it's slow (looks like 1 fps) then there is something wrong with OpenGL or the IONDRVSupport.kext did not load correctly (look in the system.log for that error). |

Hi! I´m not satisfied with my new Radeon 7000 mac edition in my PPc 9600 Newertech G3/400 304Mb ram Os 10.2.3. With Atis latest driver Xbench OpenGL is only 48. Scrolling window slow. Any suggestions? How can i replace extensions back to Apples or some older Ati? Yours Matti |

Yep. Stay away from the October update from ATI. 10.2.3 has later drivers for the Radeon 7000 PCI. After applying the ATI update my XBench scores for Open GL dropped from over 100 to 22! Restoring the 10.2.3 ATI extension activated open GL again! |

Ok, I figured out that the latest ATI Retail update which I installed replaced three or four items in the /system/Library/Extensions folder with older ones. Replacing the items with the 10.2.3 version of them (1.2.8 instead of 1.2.3) seems to have restored my OpenGL... Thanks, Marty |
