Radeon 9000 PCI why not some OSX support? |

I just realized that ATI is selling a Radeon 9000 PCI card, for about $120. For PC of course. Looks like it isn't sold with an ATI branded box, but one that says Hercules or PowerColor... Can you tell I'm itchy for something better then the crappy Radeon 7000? Marty |

Yes! I like my original Radeon but I would love a more capable card. We should watch the Xlr8yourmac forums. Doubtless, someone will raise the issue of flashing these cards with Mac firmware. That may not help us though if the version of openfirmware our machines is incompatible with the firmware on the card. This was the case with PCI GForce 2 MX cards from Nvidia. However, since this is an ATI card we may have reason for hope. |
