Hi I have checked RAM, video card SCSI termination etc. and all checks out on my second PowerCenter with Xpf. But every time I try and install (at the end of the packet opening session) the installer crashes with an Unexpected Error code 0. Can anyone explain what this means to me? Please? MTIA Mark Willan |

I am getting the same error on a 7300 w/Sonnet G3 400 upgrade card and 320 mb ram, installing to 10k virgin scsi drive. OS 9.1 on the original 2 gig scsi. I will have to say this is the 3rd machine I have unsuccessfully tried to install OS 10.2 onto. It is very frustrating when i read about everyone else's success stories and I can't get even one of these to work. I have tried every combination of throttle, (not sure which direction slow it down), verbose mode, single user, older versions of XPF, earlier versions of OS X. NOTHING has worked. I have stripped them to the original equipment before trying the first time in every instance. Same sad story. Anybody have a suggestion? I am almost ready to get a cheap PC and drop Linux on it. It is easier to install on a PC than OS X with XPF. |
