Anyone got OSX running on 20th Anniversary Mac? |

I have yet to install my Sonnet Crescendo L2 card. I experimented with XPostFacto on my TAM and it looked like nothing was happening (just a black screen). But upon closer scrutiny, the OSX Installer was in fact loaded but the video contrast/brightness had been turned all the way down (and no response to the buttons on the front of the TAM). So I'm hoping it's something of a configuration change for XPF to make it work with my TAM. With a G3 400/1M card OSX may even be usable if not speedy. Anyone had similar or better luck? Camille. |

Camille: Everyone is able to get 10.1.5 working as you describe: operational, with no backlight. Keep your G3 upgrade in the box for now. It isn't currently supported under X. Ryan is on it. The end of his last log entry: "In the meantime, I have made some more progress in my few minutes of spare time on the Twentieh Anniversary Mac. In fact, it seems to work pretty well now, with the exception of the backlight. OK, that's a pretty big exception, but I think it is solvable." So nothing yet, but it may come to pass.
