L2CacheConfig not working? bug? |

Hi all, I have a OWC G4/450 upgrade in a Beige G3. I followed the instructions for L2CacheConfig, but upon rebooting Apple System profiler shows no L2 cache enabled. I launch L2CacheConfig, it briefly shows that the cache is not enabled, but then it shows that it is. What's up? Is the L2 cache enabled or not? If not, is this the bug Ryan was writing about? Is there a workaround? Thanks, Sam |

ASP just doesn't show the proper info. It sounds as though both L2CacheConfig and the PowerLogix utility are working. I don't think it does any great harm to have them both installed. |

Downloaded and tried the Powerlogix utility. Same results with Apple System Profiler, says that there is no L2 cache. Powerlogix utility says that the cache is enabled. Does ASP not show the proper info? So, having both on the system, Ryan's and Powerlogix's, will that hurt or create instability? Who's is the one that is doing the work at this point? Thanks again. |
