Thanks to XPF, I was able to install OS 10.2 on my 7600/Crescendo G4/400, without a hitch. I cannot get the keystrokes:cmd, option, esc to yield a force quit (perhaps because my keyboard is the old ADB version?). Is there another way to force quit with OS X on an unsupported mac? |

I would definately test your keyboard because that is the correct combination for a forced Quit I do it by reflex so I had to do it and look. You probably have a bad key or a bad keyboard cable. |

Other than testing the keys to make sure that they work, I am all out of ideas. There is probably a simple free app out there that will do this for you. Ich rede ein bisschen Deutsch, aber nicht besonders gut. Und Sie? |

Powderhaus, thanks for the info. The problem is that I had to force quit a neverending spinning beachball when trying to open a zip disk, and the menubar was not visible. My only option was the keyboard. By the way, sprechen Sie Deutsch? |

the Apple Menu has a force quit option in it. I am not infront of my mac and i have forgot the keys that do it because it changed in OSX it is now CMD and the one next to it (I for get if that is option or Control) and ESC. It works fine for my on my origanal Umax keyboard, Have you spilt water on it ever? |
