I've installed the SWIM3 drivers but can't figure out how to get the floppy to do anything. Is there any documentation to support this? Rob |

Don't use these drivers. The code is butt-ugly and works like such too. Better to just leave the Floppy to OS 9, or grab a USB drive of some sort. |

0.96j (=jaguar) - the newest - does not seem to work on G3 Mini Tower with OWC G4/450, and there were report of Toast also not working when swim3.kext in system/extensions. I had to take it out. Also strange behaviour with X (Menu bar not showing when started). Similar disfunction reported at mkLinux bugs reports site (sourceforge.net/tracker/ ?group_id=35153&atid=413471). Pretty and cheap external USB floppy drive works fine at least with G4MDD running 10.2.6 (and why not with older mills too...). Look at storagedepot.uk.com (28GBP without vat&delivery) or smartdisk.com (50USD). (Mine is SmartDisk FDUB-TM2.) |

I couldn't get it to work or at least, if it takes 5 minutes to mount (as I've heard in some reports), I don't have the patience. YMMV. The only documentation is on the the web site. |

It worked under 10.15 for me, but never under 10.2. Also it's REAL slow. It verifies the entire disk before mounting, so that takes a while. The old imation USB "superdrive" works fine, although it's kind of slow too. Marty |
