I have used XPostFacto to Boot from Mac OS 10.2 install disc 1 on my PowerCenterPro 180 with a Sonnet 500Mhz G3 upgrade card, and a Radeon 7000 32MB video card, and 512MB RAM. OS 9.1 installed on 1 hard disk, and a blank formatted drive awaiting the arrival of Mac OS 10.2. I get to the Mac OS X install screen but my original mouse and keyboard will not function. the cursor stays in one place and unfortunately, Apple doesn't allow for keyboard navigation - I don't think - nothing works anyway. Any suggestions??? |

From your post in the other thread, it sounds like the mouse is functioning--it is just that the cursor is not displaying properly. That would be a video problem of some kind. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of insight into exactly what the problem is likely to be. If you can get the install to complete, one thing you might try is removing the PatchedNDRVSupport.kext extension. It shouldn't be causing a problem, but I suppose it is possible. The other thing you might try is changing the "Output Device" setting in XPostFacto. If you had it set to the Radeon card, try "none". If it was "none", try setting it to the Radeon card. |
