Hi All: I am certain that some weeks ago I read a post by someone to this forum about how he had mounted an external USB floppy in the internal floppy drive bay of either an 85/8600 or a 95/9600. If that person still reads this forum could you please post your previous post in reply to this? Many thanks, Lonnie King |

You might have read about me removing my internal floppy and mounting a 3 port usb 2.0 hub which fits nicely behind the PowerMac 9500's curved floppy bezel. The 3 port internal hub comes with an IOGEAR 2 port USB 2.0 card that has a connector on the rear of the card. The hub is made to mount in a 3.5 or 5.25 bay. Now your idea about mounting an external drive internally is not a bad one since many USB cards I've seen have one internal standard port. It might be a little work to mount the drive properly but I bet it could be done. Tom |
