I read somewhere on the Apple site that the ZX346 was supported on OS X. I installed one in my 7300 but it does not seem to be recognized. I was under the impression that the drivers were already included with OS X. Am I missing something? I would welcome any information/tips on the subject. Thx, Pierre |

There are some limitations in the current driver for the multi-port card. According to the source code, auto negotiation of 10/100-BaseT doesn't work properly, but otherwise, things work. I only have the single port card. |

If you are talking about the ZX346 it is a 4-port card. If it is a new card then it won't be OSX compatible. Zynx changed the chips in their 34x series of cards several years ago. The new cards are called ZX34xQ and use an incompatible Intel chip. Only the old cards (without the Q suffix) use a compatible DEC chip. Apple used to bundle a 4- port card with their server machines which I think was the original ZX346. I'm not sure of the driver status for the multiport cards in OSX, certainly the old single port card (ZX345) does work. |

Damn, that UBB code does not work with this forum. What is OWC using. It sucks. Anyway, weirdstuff.com is the place. The card works in both OS9.x and OSX with the built-in drivers. |

That would be the Zynx 345 Netblaster. I got one from weirdstuff warehouse in Palo Alto 4 or 5 months ago. You can order from their website weirdstuff.com. |
