When I try to shutdown or restart my Mac, it hangs with the little dial going round. I have not installed anything new that I can think of. No recent system upgrades. Done Disk Warrior, repaired permissions and Fscked. Any ideas? Specs: PM 9600, XLR8 G4 450, OS 10.2.6, WD 80GB HD, 2 SCSI HDs, 384MB RAM. |

Disk Warrior 3 causes a hang on restart that seems related more to B&W and earlier, and to systems with SCSI. Something about not unmounting volumes properly. Just launching DW3 will trigger this behavior. SCSI takes longer for some reason also. Make sure everything in your SCSI chain is "happy." DO run fsck on restart, and DU. nothing to do with permissions though. Might want to look at Drive 10 (free upgrade to TTP4). |
