Hello, I was looking around for more information on compatible ATA cards. So far the cheapest card I have found was $73.00 I see many generic pci ATA cards for 17 bucks. Is there any chance that a non Acard, Sonnet, or VST ATA card would be compatible?? |

The ones on ebay sell high, I think it is cheaper to get the OWc one |

The Sonnet ATA/133 is also offered by OWC for $73 now. That, in my opinion is the better choice because it will enable a Pioneer DVD burner to be used as a superdrive with iDVD. The SIIG can't do that. |

The short answer is no! The SGII from OWC at apox $73.00 is the best current deal on a new card. However ebay has used ones from time to time . Just make sure it's a Mac card. |
