Long time since I've been here... I just saw that Powerlogix has a new item called CPU Director so I decided to try it instead of L2CC for a while. Seems to be running well so far, I can run iTunes without hanging, which was something that would unpredictably (but fairly reliably) happen before. I turned off Spec Access as their readme recommends; maybe that was it... Anyway, I remember that Plx used to have a CLI tool for checking cpu statistics (temperature, speed, cache settings...) and I can't remember what it was called. Is it a part of the older Cache Control package? Would it still be compatible with the new CPU Director? I'm thinking of perhaps installing the command by itself if that's possible. Anyone? |
