LaCie USB burns data but not music |

I have a PM 7300 with XLR8 G4/350, 288MB RAM, Radeon 7000, 10.2.6, and a "generic" USB PCI card. When I try to use my LaCie 1x2x4 burner I can burn data only, but not AIFF CDs. I try with iTunes 4 and Toast 5.1.1; Toast burns data at 4x but every time I try to burn a CD I get "sense key" errors. I have no problem using iTunes in OS9 to burn CDs, and I was able to do everything in 10.1.5 - I cannot remember what kind of update I installed to do this. (Shouldn't Jag have updated drivers, anyway?) BTW - neither VersionTracker nor LaCie seem to have anything for me, and I did not have any PCI card bus issues before. It was a very quick, simple install (Disc Recording Update from Apple?) that did the trick last time. |

I have played audio through this drive - I also have burned data and music cds in the past. I just can't do it anymore in Jaguar. The burner is actually a Mitsumi CR 4802-TE IDE burner in a UDB case. |

there is a list somewhere on apple's site of supported Audio drives, i would imagen that yours does not support the playback of audio so it will not burn. I have my old CDROM that can read data files, but if you try to play a CD it will say something like this CDROM does not support Audio play back... or something to thta effect. |
