with the first update 10.2.8 , Quartz extreme was disabled and impossible to re-enable with PCI extreme. After applying the new combo update, over 10.2.8 (1st generation), QE can be re-enabled and that works snappier. (9500 / G3/400 / 976Mo / Ati 7000MacEd.) |

To Voxxdigital: Hmmm... : To be more precise , I am not sure about 10.2.8 (first release) disabling QE -I was outside for a week and my children like to play on this Mac- but when I came back, it was just last tuesday , I have downloaded the upgrade with software update and it was the same problem that for 10.2.6 if I remember well. I needed to download the combo version ( 97Mo) to re-use QE . |

Running QE on 10.2.8 second update, seems to be working, but same issues as with before. I am still debating if I will keep it as video can be a tad problematic |

Hmmm... It didn't disabled on my test install of OS X 10.2.8 (first release). But interesting anyway. (9600 / G3400 / ATI Radeon 7000 64MB DDR) |
