i did what was told on the installation page and in the forum and i can't get this thing to run OS X. all i get is the startup verbose mode, which is cool, then i get a blue screen and it quickly changes to gray. here's the specs on the pb: PowerPC 603e 128MB of RAM 20GB HD Ethernet/modem 12x CD-ROM bay Running OS 9.2.2 this is how i started...i splitted the HD to 4 partions (mac os x @ 7.12MB, mac os classic @ 5.5MB, mac os 9.1 @ 4.5MB, and the mac os x install disk for the remainder on the HD) i ran xpf 2.2.5 and set it to install 10.0.3 from the install partition to mac os x partition. am i missing something? any tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated! thank you! |

Try to use the PB in clamshell mode with an ADB kbd and mouse and a VGA monitor connected. Try a all the Ver.'s of XPF, other wise try a 10.1 or 10.1.5 CD. OR if you have another mac with SCSI use the PB in SCSI Disc Mode and CCC to Clone an OS X install to the PB's HD to see if the system will boot. |
