I have a 7300 with an ATTO Ultra160 SCSI card with a G3 upgrade and it is running very well. But, I need to get an external modem hooked up. I have not seen a thread dealing with this. Anyone have any advice. Model? Porting? Classic mode? Chuck |

Thanks for the response. I will proceed with the project then and get a serial port modem. I have had good luck with Global Village. Chuck |

I have a 7600 w/ Global Village Platinum external on serial port running OSX 10.2.8 and a 9600 w/ SupraFax Modem external on serial port running OSX 10.2.8. Very easy installation both. Plenty of modem scripts in OSX. |

Hello, running a 7500 with XLR8 ZIF G3/333, 10.2.6. No problems with external US Robotics 56K Message Modem connected via modem port which is shown automatically in Network Preferences. If you have set up PPP connections on OS9 you should have no trouble. Modem scripts are in /Library/Modem Scripts These are the same as OS9 modem scripts. Some are already installed by OSX, you could copy one from your OS9 system if you need a particular script, or download from the modem manufacturers. |
