Hi guys, I remember seeing a post where someone describes succesfully booting from a cd created with BootCD. I have created a cd with BootCD but I am of yet unable to boot from it. When I follow the instructions of BootCD, that is, restart and pressing and holding "c" right after the chime, I get a OS 9 screen with the disk icon with a flashing question mark. I then figured that maybe I have to boot from the CD by going back to OS 9 and starting OS X from the CD by using XPF, but XPF doesn't allow me to restart from the cd, saying that the volume is not writable. Could someone please give me some pointers as to what I'm doing wrong? Thanks very much, Jonck |

"I have created a cd with BootCD but I am of yet unable to boot from it." Strange. I just did the same and can boot from that CD by pressing "C" as well as chosing the CD in startup disk, and it will work! (Toshiba DVD-ROM drive 1612) Mike |

This will work with XPF 3, exactly in the way you describe. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with XPF 2. |
