Forum Needs a Topic Table of Contents... |

This forum needs a table of contents loaded on one page as the lead page. I'm getting frustrated having to go search the whole site to find the tread I'm chasing. If it's in the works, great! If not, please move this request to a high priority. --Dwight |

I have added the suggestions to my list, I apologize on lack of updates recently! as for a table of contents: this can be done and will speed up load time by setting preferences to View Threads: Collapsed that will show the first page with the thread subjects only ordered by the most latest post. already in the works is a search feature. and the ability to set the order ie: alpha, by date .... |

Sorted alphabetically, by subject would be great. The XpOSFacto forum has grown tremendously and there is a wealth of information on it. Having a searchable index may even eliminate repetition of subjects that were covered in depth three months earlier? Great idea. Jack Russell |

Hmmm. I got tons of bookmarks now as it is. So, that's a pain. However, I'd settle for just a list as they are created like Deal Mac's forums to start with. Since it's a text listing, it should download fast. Giving the user the option of many thousand of topics per page would also be nice. Alpha is second. Third, is by latest thread date (created/latest entry). Fourth, a search capability. Fifth, by OS version (which is kinda like a date from/to search limiter. That would be my dream sheet. I know some may be harder than others, but since you asked... Hope this helps. You got a lot of good information in this forum. We just need a way to manage it. Another idea. How about a lessons learned depository? Although you attemp to capture some of that info on your XPF and other pages, some specific way to collect and search somewhat like the database at Accelerate Your Mac would be helpful - search by machine, for instance. I'm done. 8-) --Dwight |

Do you mean alphabetic sort by subject? |

Do you mean that you would like the option to sort the threads alphabetically by subject? That sounds like a pretty good idea, now that you mention it. In the meantime, if you spot a thread that you want to follow, I think it works to bookmark it in your browser. |
