When trying to install 10.2 everytime and booting into 10.1.5 occasionally I get the memory access exception (1,0.0). That is the one bad message I get in verbose mode. I am running a PM9500 w/ about 220 megs of RAM and a XLR8 400 w/zif carrier. I have two hard drives. One with 9.1 and the other with 9.1 and 10.1.5. Any ideas on what I should try? When I boot successfully into 10.1.5 the system works flawlessly, if that is worth any additional vital info. Thanks guys |

Do you get the full kernel panic text, with a list of kernel extensions and load addresses and the backtrace? If so, then it could be useful if you copy that information down (or take a picture, if you have a digital camera). It is possible that the error has something to do with RAM. Sometimes rearranging (or deinterleaving) DIMMs helps with this sort of thing. Or just swapping out DIMMs to see if you can isolate a problematic one. |
