OpenBoot Firmware problem |

Greetings to all. My previous post was a little un-identified in some areas. I have more info on the problem. My Computer is a Powerbase 200 603e machine, 200mhz, with a 13gb Drive, and 80mb RAM, 2mb/Onboard ATI 3D II Rage. The HD is ATA Compatible as with the interface for the HD, and my CDRom is a Nec Multispin 8x, SCSI-2. I've tried XPostFacto, with not really much luck. The program copies over its files to my dedicated 10gb OS X HPF+ partition, then it restarts into Openboot. Next. it says "bootr: Unknown Word". Freeze. I resart. Next I am greeted with the Openboot 2.0, type Bye to revert to Mac OS, bla bla, type BOOT to continue booting. I should note that now, there is a little error on the top of the screen that says some DEFAULT CACHE and then some F00 or something like that. If I type BOOT, the screen clicks, clicks again, and comes back with a -iClaim Error or something similar. No matter how I type BOOT, it just says CLAIM error from then on. Can anyone help me? I'd love to try OS X on my old PB200 system. I'm still a little weary about the $10 for this forum- but hey, if you guys can help me out here.. |

The PowerBase is based on the 6400/6500 motherboard, which is experiencing some of the same problems with XPostFacto at this point. Once I get the 6400 / 6500 working reliably, the PowerBase may well work too. |
