Sorry, I didn't pay attention to the version of OSX you are running. DVD player 3.2 comes with Jaguar. It may or may not work on 10.1.5. Haven't tried it. |

You need at least an ATI Rage 128 for the hardware side but a Radeon card would be better. You can extract the DVD player software from the OSX cd with Pacifist. There is also a patch for DVD player 3.2 that will enable DVD playback on our systems. It is available from MacBidouille.com |

I have a 9500 and I can watch DVDs with no any problem. In order to do it you have to use the DVD player 3.1.1 (You can download it from apple website.) There is a need of an ATI graphics card that support DVDs. I personally use the card from a blue and white G3 (It is an Apple Radeon card) You do not have ability to install the DVD player easily. You have to expand the tome. it is a file with the extension .pax.gz in order to decode it I used the MacOS X encoding plethora (a utility that you can download from versiontracker) after the extraction you have to install the items in the correct fildfers a usr and the Application one. Then you will be able to use the DVD player. If it displays a strange message that the DVD player cannot be found you have to do a krack. This krack can be download from http:// homepage.mac.com/occ/DVDPlayer3.11noDVD.sit A question to you all now. Does anyone tried to watcvh DVDs from the DVD player in 10.2?? Does it need ktack??? |
