Second Install CD for Jaguar |

The time has come to install Jaguar on my 9500. I've read quite a few comments in the various forums regarding installation problems after the first CD completes and the machine reboots for the second CD. Is there a problem with XPF asking for the second CD? If so, is there a workaround? Thanks, Tony |

Yeah, I don't recall it restarting in the middle of the install when I upgraded my system from 10.1 to 10.2... I don't think it would be different for a clean install, would it? |

I have installed Jag on several machines and have had no problems...most are using XPF. The machine does not restart, it just asks for the second cd. It shold not be a problem. |

When X reboots after the first CD, what is it booting from - the first CD or the drive that CD 1 just installed to? |

No, there is not a problem. It worked very smoothly for me. X doesn't boot from the second CD, it only grabs application files from it. -Ben |
