Can anyone tell me how I remove a kext and re-install a new one in its place? I am removing the onboardaudio kext from Jaguar and going to replace it with the kext from 10.1.3 to see if it returns audio on my PCP... |

The easiest way is probably to use a tool like Pacifist, which allows you to install an arbitrary part of a package. Other than that, you can either enable the root account and do it from there, or do it from the command line with sudo. In both cases, you need to be very careful, of course. |
