Hi all... upgrade to 10.2 was successful - but still no video on DVI port - there is video on the VGA port and on teh DVI port while running in OS9. Tried the commands suugested in the Radeon 7000 threads to no avail. In terminal, I get the response nvram: Error(-1) getting variable... The card (in pci slot a1) is identified as ATY,RADEONp and the card model is ATY, RADEON Does anyone know if the 'p' does the same as as the 'ad_A' or 'ad_B' for the 7000? Any suggestions on getting 10.x to like my DVI port? many thanks in advance! |

try opening the terminal in X and use the command ioreg. I got the clues for my Howto using this tool. you can mail me the result, it's a bit big to put in the forum. On the sudo nvram yada, please note that I posted an error once, easily solved by using man e.g. type "man nvram" in the terminal |

Sorry, I didn't read your post properly. You say you DO have video in OS 9 on the DVI... I don't really know then. |

Do you get video in OS 9 on the DVI port? The type of monitor you have will determine whether or not it can be used on the DVI port. It's something about the way "auto-sensing" works with VGA monitors. |
