I have installed this into my 8600 300 and it works very well. However when I installed OS 10.2 into my computer things seem to slow down compared to 9.2. When capturing throught orangelink firewire via Hollywood DV Bridge I do fine in 9.2 but it is slow and stops in 10.2 because of slow disk or other interuption. Also I can't open Mach speed control panel to see if it is working, When starting up 10.2 asks it I want to use kernel extention for mach speed because it will make my system unsecure. Is there a way to see if the backside cache is ingaged and see why I'm having these speed problems. Almost everything seems to be slower in 10.2 then in 9.2. Thanks, Gary Benna |

The Mach Speed kernel extension is not compatible with Jaguar (10.2). You should use either Ryan's L2CacheConfig or PowerLogix Cache Control X. |
