I am having problems with the system hanging when it goes to find the volume to install OS X 10.1.5 Server to. I have a 7600/132 stock with 384MB RAM the original 1.2GB Quantum Fireball and an 18.2GB Seagate Cheetah. I have 9.1 installed on the Quantum and want to install OS X on the Seagate. I have disabled the termination enable (TE) on the Quantum, and the Seagate has an adaptor to take it from 80 pins to 50 pins and the adaptor is supposed to have auto termination. Has anyone else seen this sort of problem, at first I thought it was a termiantion problem but I am runnig out of ideas. Please help. |

Hmm. I'm not entirely sure what the problem is--I haven't seen that error message before. It might be worth experimenting with termination settings and termination power and the like. |

Finally got past the hanging with the volumes, but now it hangs during installation and goes to a black screen that says: disk3 media not present What's going on? |
