Setup: PPC8600 with 2-128MB in A1 & B1, 2- 3MB SCSI drives, 1 with OS 9.0 PowerLogix G3 upgrade Tried to install OS X.2 on OS 9.0 drive It hangs at different times during install between 20 and 50 minutes remaining I have tried cnanging the memory and installing on the second drive with same results Bob Horst |

The most common reason for this would be memory-related. Other possibilities are problems with the CD, or problems with the SCSI bus (termination, etc.). |

When you say you tried changing the memory, did you de-interleave it? I found that my 8600 will not run OS X reliably with interleaved memory. Try putting your 2x128 arrays in A1 & A2 or just installing one array during the installation process. |
