Is there a fix available for these cards to correct the display startup issue? Specifically, has anyone figured out how to have the monitor turn on at the beginning of the boot process rather than 3/4 of the way through? I know the display will eventually turn on, but I always get a little nervous... Thanks! |

Thanks. I actually found an older thread about this problem after digging far enough back through the pages. It's now working fine. Any chance of a search function being added to the forum? |

It is only a matter of setting up an output device when using XPostFacto when booted up in OS 9. In the Open Firmware menu you have the option of selecting your input/output devices. When you select ouput, all of the Radeon outputs should show. If using the VGA output it should show up as 1 or A and the DVI ouput shows up as 2 or B Sorry about the lack of details. Hopefully you can figure out the specifics ouput of your card. |
