XPF 2.2.4 and OS X 10.2.2 loginwindow issue? |

I am having difficulty getting the login window to show up on my 9500 that I just upgraded to OS X 10.2.2 and is running XPF 2.2.4. I boot in verbose mode, and the blue screen that should display the login window alternates with black that says it cannot map display interlocks, and a few other things. Should I try a new install of OS X or is this a known issue? |

Well, I just did an archive/install of Jaguar and it works fine now. Must have been a fluke. Thanks though! |

I downloaded the Apple OS 10.2.2 Update to disk and installed it to my booted 10.2.1 SCSI disk on a 8500/MaxPwrG3-300. It came time to reboot, and rebooted straight into OS 10.2.2, without even a detour into OS 9.1 and XPF 2.2.4. No probs w/ login window. I have an ATI XClaimVR 8M, Adaptec FireConnect 4300, ACARD ATA PCI card, Yamaha CDR-8424S SCSI and about 87 Gigs of HD on the three interfaces. BTW. I wouldn't worry too much about getting it to work. -Jim |

I've got a 9500 with a 300 MHz G3 upgrade, Matrox video card, OWC FireWire, SIIG USB, SIIG ATA/133, and 2 Realtek 10/100 network cards. I just did an archive/install of Jag and will reapply the combo and keep my fingers crossed. Hopefully it's just a fluke. |

10.22 works for me with 2.24 on three systems here... 8500, Powerwave, Powertowerpro (which is a 9500). What kind of video card do you have? If your desperate see if Apple has the 10.22 combined update posted yet, and try that.... Marty |
