>>What systems don't have sound control? I thought prety much all old-world systems did? On my PowerTower Pro, sound is always on max, volume controls have no effect, and it cannot be muted. If there is a simple fix for this, I'd love to hear it! |

It would be nice if XPostFacto deleted XPostFacto extensions that will not get loaded. This would eliminate some of the error messages displayed in verbose mode. I have a PowerMac 8600 running 10.2.2. The following extensions have errors: PatchedIOSCSICDDrive.kext and PatchedSCSIDeviceType05.kext: Missing dependencies "com.apple.kernel" = "A valid compatible version of this dependency cannot be found" AppleCurio.kext: "com.apple.iokit.IOSCSIFamily" = "No valid version of this dependency can be found" I guess these extensions are for older versions of OS X. XPostFacto could probably look at the version of the System.kext or something on the destination volume or installer CD to decide whether or not an extension should be installed. If there is no system then XPostFacto should do as before and install everything; then when there is a system and XPostFacto is run again in OS 9, it can delete the unneeded extensions. |
