![]() Star Wars: Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast What more can I say about this game other than "WOW"! It's one of the most visually pleasing games I have ever played, the first time I saw it at MacWorld NY in July I knew it would be a killer on graphics cards & system performance. First impressions were right, it's by far the most demanding game I have ever played on my system - and it's worth upgrading to play. Check out this great review of Jedi Knight II from Apple - with screenshots! All tests were performed using the default "high quality" settings, no config file trickery or any unusual enhancements were performed generating these scores. Standard TimeDemo routines used. ![]() Wow, stunning performance, eh? The GeForce2MX was not able to run the demo - it crashed due to lack of video memory every time I tried it. :>) Upgrade! ![]() Pitiful scores, aren't they! When the GeForce4MX was able to be used, it's scores were the epitome of "molasses in January" - it does not have enough horsepower to run this game as it should that is for sure. The reason it did not return scores when using the 733 QuickSilver was the fact that it crashed repeatedly - and the same happened with the GigaDesign G4/800MHz card, I can only assume their lack of L3 cache had something to do with it, as the G4/466 Digital Audio had no problem running the demo (albeit with very low scores). ![]() Once again, ATI's 1-1/2 year old 8500 turns in some respectable scores playing Jedi Knight II. But definitely notice that the higher speed G4 upgrades solidly add performance as the resolution goes up. ![]() The 9000 Pro is great! Once again, dual monitor support AND the ability to play games at high frame rates (with the right processor). It's a great value upgrade card! ![]() If these tests haven't convinced you that the GeForce4 Titanium is a super-fast card, then something is wrong. WOW! This game demands the most from your video card and the Titanium steps up to the plate and gives you all you'll need to use the force, that is for sure! |
