The Newer Technology miniStack MAX is the perfect external storage and backup enclosure kit designed specifically to complement the look and feel of the latest Mac lineup. With a footprint identical to the Mac mini, the two stack and fit together for seamless desktop integration. It also looks great when paired with the iMac, MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, and aluminum finished or black PCs.
This enclosure kit lets you install the hard drive and optical drive of your preference to take advantage of a multi-interface that allows you to choose the way you connect to your computer-via FireWire 800/400, USB 3.0/2.0, or eSATA - with data transfer speeds up to 300MB/s. With multi-interface options, the miniStack MAX can be fully bootable and ideal for backup, audio, video, photography, and general storage needs.
Reads SD Memory Cards in a Flash
The integrated SD card reader (SDXC) on the front of the miniStack MAX makes transferring photos and video super-simple-no more fumbling around the back for the SD slot. Plus, it helps keep your desktop clean by eliminating the need for an external card reader and yet another cable.
Connect and Charge Digital Devices
Three powered USB ports on the back make the miniStack MAX a convenient digital hub for connecting external devices like iPhones, mice, or keyboards. One of the USB ports is a high-powered 2.1Amp slot, making it ideal for charging an iPad or other devices that require more power than provided by standard USB connections.
Hard Drive/SSD Not Included - Requires User Provided Drives For Self Installation
OWC NOTE: This drive enclosure requires user provided and self installed 2.5" or 3.5" Serial ATA (SATA) Hard Drive or Solid State Drive. Most computers produced since 2006 use Serial ATA (SATA) hard drives. Please make sure that the drive you wish to use with this enclosure is compatible.
