Rack Pro
It's a four-bay drive dock that can sit on your desk, or be mounted in a rack. With its high-capacity and 24Gb/s mini-SAS speeds, the RackPro offers a great combination of drive access flexibility, and sheer data throughput. All four drives in the Mercury Rack Pro show up as individual drives, so you can mix and match drives of any size and brand and hot-swap the drives at will. The tray-less drive bay design makes drive management, access, and replacement quick and easy while the mini-SAS architecture takes advantage of mini-SAS speeds, and expansion possibilities as you add more drives or racks.

Recommended mini-SAS Connecting Cables
- When using Passive/passthrough mini-SAS storage solutions equipped with "6G" 6Gb/s (SATA 3.0 Revision) drives, we strongly recommend only using connecting cables of 1 meter or shorter length due to the increased signal integrity requirements of 6G drives. Active storage solutions such as SAS expander systems equipped with 6G drives can utilize mini-SAS connecting cables up to 10 meters in length.

- Mini-SAS cable included: 1M mini-SAS cable (included) is required for use with SATA/SAS 6Gb/s drives due to signal integrity requirements, longer cable lengths are not supported. When using SATA/SAS 3Gb/s drives, longer cable lengths (sold separately) can be used and are available here.
- external mini-SAS: Macintosh with external mini-SAS via 3rd party controller card interface, (not included). external mini-SAS requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later. Including ‘Lion’ 10.7.x.
