Ryan, First off...a major thanks for providing an extended lifespan to legacy Mac owner's machines with your software. Now, I'm curious as to whether anyone else has an issue with prefs from Netscape/Mozilla, icon positions, screen resolutions, etc., not being saved after shutting down from OSX and restarting. Also, is there a way to reboot within OSX without getting a kernel panic? My machine is a Power Tower Pro with 768Megs of ram, a Sonnet G4 450mHz upgrade card, two ixMicro Twin Turbo 128 video cards, and various harddrives/peripherals. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ed Berland |

Hmm. I am not sure what the ARB error is likely to be. It does not ring a bell. If you could write down exactly what the error message is, I might be able to track it down. One possibility is that your motherboard battery is starting to fail, and your NVRAM is getting scrambled under certain circumstances. That would explain why monitor resolutions are not retained, and it could explain the difficulties restarting into Mac OS X. So you could try replacing the motherboard battery to see if that helps. Though I am not entirely sure that it will. |

Ryan, Resolved previous post re Mozilla prefs. Still have an issue with screen resolutions holding in OSX after booting from XPostFacto 2b16. Would this be a function of unsupported ixMicro video cards? Also can't seem to do a warm restart after installing software. Keep getting an ARB error or something to that effect. Ultimately, I have to cold start back in 9.1 and then restart with XPostFacto. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks, Ed |
