I was doing some work with graphics today myself. And after completing the work in OS 9, because Epson has not provided a driver for OS X, I decided to see how the scanner did with VueScan under OS X. Essentially the same thing to report as yourself. The scanner (Apple 600/27) works fine with both its own software and VueScan when using OS 9, however it is not working under OS X. It is recognized by both the system profiler and by VueScan as being hooked up. But trying to scan brings no joy. I am assuming the problem is related to it being connected to the second SCSI buss. It is reported as Target SCSI device #2, but is listed as Device #6 by the system profiler. My scanner is properlly terminated and hooked up as Device #2. I am assuming this is a general OS X issue and not really an issue with XPostFacto, because the scanner does work fine with VueScan when running on a Wallstreet Powerbook. William Ove |

Sorry about that. I have a powermac 8600 w/ a powerlogix G3 400 card running 10.1.5. Any help to the above problem would be appreciated. Thanks. Dave. |
