That, and it would be nice to have support for Apple's Comm Slot II ethernet card, which I can't imagine Apple put into OS X. (The only other ethernet card for this slot is a 10/100 made by Farallon/Proxim.) Perhaps PCI ethernet would work, but then no FireWire/USB...tradeoffs, tradeoffs... I for one would be excited to see X run on a TAM. As you say, Sonnet G3 support would be nice too! |

Not yet, but it may be possible in the future. I have been working on 6500 support, and there is an item at http://www.zone6400.com which suggests that it will actually work once I get time to fix one last bug. The TAM is based on the 6500, so once the 6500 works it may be possible to get the TAM to work. But the TAM is a little unique, so it is possible that some more tweaks will be needed for it. The other problem is that a driver will be needed to get the Sonnet G3 card to work, and I'm not sure how difficult that will be to do. |
