Hello: I seem to be having a problem w/ classic 9.2.2 on 10.2 (6C155) enabled through XPF 22b17. All classic apps don't display their menubar. Only the OS X menu bar of the last application is shown... anyone else run into this? |

like you, Ryan, Classic won't start up at all on my "upgraded" system. I went from 10.1 to 10.2 and used my standard OS9 partition as classic. no go--whereas I did have success doing a clean install of everything. |

Problem was with PowerLogix's G3/G4 Profiler INIT 1.4b2. When I was running 10.1.5, the INIT didn't interfere with Classic; but it prevents Classic's menubar from showing up under 10.2. If I disable the INIT, menus are drawn properly. Classic is v9.1.3 @ 3MB Classic Support is v2.1 @ 208KB Classic Support UI is v2.1 @ 272KB |

I got classic up and running no problems. Drive 1 has OS9.1 (clean) and drive 2 has 6C115 (clean) from XPF 2.2b17. when I went to launch classic, I was asked by 10.2 to add resources, to which I said yes. I booted Simpletext and Desktop Printer Utility and they came up perfect. |

I recall that I was asked that. But, I am using the default BootX and not your version. It may be that the additional functionality is preventing your machine from starting Classic? I'll post versions of the updates later on tonight when I get back home. |

Oh, I forgot to add that I might have updated the resources while I had 10.1.3 installed... |

I'm having trouble getting Classic started at all, so you are getting farther than I do. One thing I noticed is that Jaguar is not offering to update the "needed Classic resources" the way that 10.1 did (when first running Classic after the upgrade). I wonder whether that is part of the issue? It would be interesting to copy a System Folder from another machine where Classic works in 10.2 and see whether that works on an older system. |
