My PM9500 with Newertech G4 350 MHz card had been very stable under OSX10.1.5 until I decided to add two 128 MB RAM, compatible with G4 upgrade card according to the vendor. However, when I booted into OSX it crashed during "probing L2 cache". I had to reinstall OSX 10.1 again. When I reinstalled the Powerlogix G3/G4 cache profile 1.5 to enable the L2 cache, PM9500 froze after loading the powerlogix extension in OS9, I had to remove the Powerlogix ini to boot into OS9.1. I don't think the added RAMs would prevent the Powerlogix from enabling the cache. Is there anyway that I could enable the cache again? |

It is odd that the PowerLogix utility should fail in Mac OS 9 with the new memory. Given that, I guess I would tend to suspect a problem with the memory. You could try de-interleaving the memory, as that sometimes helps. |
